THE PROBLEM
Lots of people work on the side. Most of them are nervous about it.
Freelance platforms were built for full-time freelancers. They want you visible, searchable and bidding against strangers. That's the opposite of what you need when you already have a job.
Your manager can find you.
Public profiles get indexed, shared and screenshotted. All it takes is one colleague scrolling at lunch.
Your contract is a maze.
Outside-work clauses, IP assignments, notice rules. Most people skim, guess and hope for the best.
Companies are hiring blind.
A part-time CV is a promise. Nobody checks who wrote it, where they really worked, or whether they can do the job.
THE NUMBERS
Side income is normal now. Doing it safely still isn't.
Two very different job markets, one pattern. People are already earning on the side. The tools just haven't caught up with the risks they take to do it.

HOW WE KEEP YOU SAFE
Four things we do before anyone sees you.
We hide who you are
Companies see what you can do, not who you are. Your name, photo and employer stay locked until you both say yes.
Learn more: We hide who you areWe block your boss
Your current employer is blocked the moment you sign up. Add anyone else you'd rather avoid. To them, you simply don't exist.
Learn more: We block your bossWe check every gig
Competitors, clashing hours, risky contract clauses. Each gig gets a green, amber or red rating, with the reasons spelled out. Red never reaches you.
Learn more: We check every gigWe verify the work
A skill interview and a background check you consent to. Companies get proof, so you get taken seriously.
Learn more: We verify the workHOW IT WORKS
Your agent does the legwork. You make the calls.
- 01You
Tell it once.
Your skills, the hours you have spare, your minimum rate, and where you work by day. That last part never leaves your account.
- 02Agent
Prove it once.
A short technical interview and a background check you agree to. Pass both and you earn badges companies actually trust.
- 03Agent
Let it hunt.
Your agent watches new gigs around the clock and runs a conflict check on every one that fits.
- 04Agent + you
Get a shortlist, not a feed.
A handful of gigs, each with its rating and a plain-English reason it made the cut. No endless scrolling.
- 05You
Talk first. Reveal later.
Chat with the company anonymously. Share your name only when you both want to go ahead.
- 06You
Do the work. Get paid.
Log your hours, the company approves them, and we handle the invoice. You never chase a payment.
- 01You
Describe the gig.
The skills you need, hours a week, how much overlap you want with your team, and your budget.
- 02Agent
Get a ranked shortlist.
Verified professionals with no conflict with your gig, available in the hours you asked for.
- 03You
Judge the proof.
Interview scores, background-check status and real availability, side by side. No CV theatre.
- 04Agent + you
Talk, then meet properly.
Start the conversation anonymously. Names are shared the moment both sides agree.
- 05You
Approve hours. Pay once.
One weekly timesheet per person, one invoice, one fee. That's the whole admin.

THE CONFLICT CHECK
Know before you say yes.
Every gig comes with a report like this before it reaches you. Read the reasons, look into the amber bits, and decide with the facts in front of you. Red gigs never make it this far.

Part-time backend engineer · Series A logistics startup, London
- Pass: Not your employer, and not on your blocklist
- Pass: Different industry: logistics, not banking
- Pass: Their 11 am–3 pm is your 7–11 pm, well clear of your day job
- Check: Your contract mentions outside work. Check whether you need to tell your employer.
Worth asking yourself
- Would any code, data or tools from your day job end up in this work? (They shouldn't.)
ANY COUNTRY, ANY TIME ZONE
Your evening is someone's morning.
A developer in Warsaw finishing dinner is a San Francisco team's mid-morning. Pick two cities and see exactly where your free hours meet their working day.
- Your agent never suggests work inside your day-job hours.
- Companies say how much live overlap they need. Plenty need none.
- No overlap at all? Code reviews, design and writing travel well async.
4 hrs Live overlap
Your 7 pm–11 pm is 10 am–2 pm in San Francisco.

FAQ
The questions everyone asks first.
Is moonlighting legal?
In most countries, yes. Having a second job isn't illegal in itself. What decides whether a particular gig is OK is your employment contract and any rules for your role or industry. Our conflict check flags the risks it can see, but it isn't legal advice.
Can my employer find me here?
No. Your current employer is blocked the moment you sign up, and you can block any other company too. Blocked companies can't search for you or tell that you're on Mondeed at all. Everyone else sees an anonymous profile until you both agree to reveal.
What does the conflict check actually look at?
Whether the company is your employer or one of its competitors, whether the hours clash with your day job, and anything you've told us about your contract. Each gig comes back green, amber or red, and you always see why.
What kind of work is on offer?
We're starting with part-time software engineering, usually 5 to 20 hours a week, for companies in any country. Other professions will follow.
Which countries can I join from?
Any. Professionals and companies can sign up from anywhere, and your agent matches across time zones. Payouts and background checks depend on local partners, so we'll show you what's available where you live before you start.
Does it cost anything to join?
No. Joining and getting matched is free. If a background check has a fee in your country, you'll see it before you start, and you get it back if no company shows interest within the refund window.
Who sees my background-check report?
You and our verification team. Companies see a badge and a date. Never the report.
How do I get paid?
You log your hours each week, the company approves them, and we invoice the company. Once they've paid, the money goes to your account. No chasing invoices.
Can I use Mondeed and keep my full-time job?
That's exactly who it's for. Your agent only ever suggests work outside your day-job hours.
Can I get my employer's approval through Mondeed?
If your company runs a Mondeed programme, yes. You can send a gig to HR before you accept it and get their answer in writing. It's optional, you decide when to ask, and HR only sees the company, the type of work and the hours. This is planned for launch.
What does the AI decide?
Nothing that matters. Agents search, rank, check and draft. Accepting an offer, revealing your name and messaging anyone are always your call.
